Catherine Addonizio
Founder of Prokinetics Physical Therapy

Catherine Addonizio is the founder of ProKinetics Physical Therapy. She graduated from Long Island University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University.

Catherine has practiced in the outpatient setting in Brooklyn, New York treating orthopedic and sports injuries, pre and post-operative musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions and work related injuries. Her commitment to individualized treatment and hands on care has been the driving force of her work. She has developed a vast skill set in manual therapy, joint manipulations and postural muscle re-education in order to restore pain-free function. Catherine also has clinical experience in working with the pediatric population from infancy to 18 years of age with neurological disorders and/or developmental delay.

She has gained this experience through working for the NYC Department of Education and Early Intervention. Catherine has extensive training in treating dance injuries in the pre-professional and professional dance population as well as acrobatics from the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.

As a dancer herself, she graduated from Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City. She has performed regionally & won competitions nationally and is also a former dance instructor in Brooklyn and Long Island. ProKinetics Physical Therapy now offers Occupational Therapy. Dr. Albassiouny is a licensed physical therapist. He graduated from Cairo University with a master’s degree and completed his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) from Dominican College. Since 2011, Hossam has been practicing physical therapy.

He’s very passionate about musculoskeletal, spine, and sports-related conditions. He specializes in physical therapy management for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, orofacial pain, and upper cervical dysfunction. Hossam also studied manual osteopathy for 3 years.

Dr. Albassiouny treats patients for multiple concerns including contusions, muscle strains, tendinitis, spine deformities, jaw pains, cervicogenic headaches, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Dr. Albassiouny offers a comforting and relaxed environment for all patients who receive care from him. Hossam prides himself on his ability to aid the patient physically, accommodating for the patient’s immediate concerns and pains.

Elsayed Abdelhady, PT, DPT, OCS, MSc., is a licensed and highly experienced Physical Therapist dedicated to restoring function and improving the lives of his patients. He brings a broad range of expertise in physical therapy programming, treatment, and modalities, effectively addressing diverse orthopedic and neurological conditions. His extensive experience in the US includes providing outpatient care at reputable clinics like Rehab one and Prokinetics, delivering crucial home care services, and conducting thorough Functional Capacity Evaluations. Elsayed also has valuable experience in inpatient rehabilitation and geriatric care within nursing facilities.

Elsayed’s strong educational foundation includes a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Touro College, a Master’s degree in physical therapy for musculoskeletal disorders from Cairo University, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Physical Therapy from the same institution. He holds the distinguished credential of Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Furthermore, he possesses certifications in areas such as emergency response for athletes and orthopedic manual therapy.

Known for being dynamic, energetic, and highly self-motivated, Elsayed is committed to providing exceptional patient care. He is proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for accurate documentation and is knowledgeable about various insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. With his comprehensive experience in both US and international healthcare settings, coupled with his advanced education and specialized certifications, Elsayed is a valuable and skilled physical therapist.

Mahmoud Mohamed Nabil Qorany Mohamed
Physical Therapist

Mahmoud Mohamed Nabil Qorany Mohamed is a licensed physical therapist with a strong commitment to helping patients restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent disabilities. His recent experience in the US includes working as a Physical Therapist at PT of The City in New York from October 2023 to November 2024. In this role, he was responsible for assessing patients, developing and administering medically prescribed treatment plans, including manual exercises and the use of equipment, documenting patient progress, and instructing patients in home exercises and therapies.

Prior to his work in the US, Mahmoud gained significant experience in Egypt. He served as a Physical Therapist at Beni-Suef University Hospital for two periods (June 2013 – May 2016 and August 2017 – April 2019), where he provided comprehensive care to patients, including the evaluation of prosthetic and orthotic devices. Additionally, he held the position of Demonstrator at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Deraya University (June 2016 – July 2017), where he was involved in teaching and demonstrating practical techniques to undergraduate students. He also completed an internship at Cairo University Hospitals.

Mahmoud’s educational background includes a tDPT from Winston Salem State University (awarded December 2024), an MSc in physical therapy from Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University (awarded February 2019), and a BS in Physical Therapy from the same institution (awarded September 2010). He has also undertaken practical training and courses in areas such as the Mulligan Concept, manual therapy techniques, and the medical taping basics. Mahmoud possesses good communication skills in English, basic computer skills, and abilities in areas like instructing, teaching, and research.

Ali Sajjad is a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist with over eight years of experience in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability. Currently working as a Physical Therapist at Physical Therapy of New York (May 2024 – Present), Sajjad is responsible for designing and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatment plans. His duties include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, such as range-of-motion tests and functional analyses, developing tailored treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, and diligently documenting their progress. Prior to this role, he also served as an Exercise Physiologist at the same location.

Before moving to the US, Sajjad gained extensive experience in various international settings. He worked as a Sr. Physiotherapist at Leading Edge Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation in Pakistan and as a Physical Therapist at Badghish Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Saudi Arabia, where he focused on evaluating patients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and developing effective treatment plans. Additionally, he served as a Sr. Lecturer Physical Therapy at Helping Hand Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences in Pakistan, combining clinical work with teaching and supervising junior staff. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Physiotherapist at Habib Physiotherapy Complex in Pakistan.

Sajjad’s strong educational background includes a Master of Science in Chronic Disease Management from St Mary’s University, London, a Master of Science in orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree both from Riphah International University, Islamabad. He is a Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State and holds memberships with the Pakistan Physical Therapy Association and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Sajjad is multi-lingual, proficient in English, Urdu, Pashto, Hindi, Punjabi, and has basic Arabic language skills. He also possesses research skills with published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
