Dmitry Shevchenko
partner of Prokinetics Physical Therapy

Dmitry Shevchenko is the partner of Prokinetics Physical Therapy. He graduated from York College with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College. Dmitry has practiced in a variety of settings such as: hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, pediatric centers, home care and outpatient clinics. Working in multiple settings has allowed Dmitry to gain skills needed to work with patients of all ages and conditions. Dmitry treats patients with various upper extremity injuries and fabricates splints. He enjoys working with athletes and playing soccer.

Catherine Addonizio is the founder of ProKinetics Physical Therapy. She graduated from Long Island University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University. Catherine has practiced in the outpatient setting in Brooklyn, New York treating orthopedic and sports injuries, pre and post-operative musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions and work related injuries. Her commitment to individualized treatment and hands on care has been the driving force of her work. She has developed a vast skill set in manual therapy, joint manipulations and postural muscle re-education in order to restore pain-free function. Catherine also has clinical experience in working with the pediatric population from infancy to 18 years of age with neurological disorders and/or developmental delay. She has gained this experience through working for the NYC Department of Education and Early Intervention. Catherine has extensive training in treating dance injuries in the pre-professional and professional dance population as well as acrobatics from the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. As a dancer herself, she graduated from Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City. She has performed regionally & won competitions nationally and is also a former dance instructor in Brooklyn and Long Island. ProKinetics Physical Therapy now offers Occupational Therapy. Dr. Hossamalden Albassiouny, DPT OCS
PT SUPERVISOR

Dr. Albassiouny is a licensed physical therapist. He graduated from Cairo University with a master’s degree and completed his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) from Dominican College. Since 2011, Hossam has been practicing physical therapy. He’s very passionate about musculoskeletal, spine, and sports-related conditions. He specializes in physical therapy management for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, orofacial pain, and upper cervical dysfunction. Hossam also studied manual osteopathy for 3 years. Dr. Albassiouny treats patients for multiple concerns including contusions, muscle strains, tendinitis, spine deformities, jaw pains, cervicogenic headaches, and vestibular rehabilitation. Dr. Albassiouny offers a comforting and relaxed environment for all patients who receive care from him. Hossam prides himself on his ability to aid the patient physically, accommodating for the patient’s immediate concerns and pains.

Marwa is a physical therapist who has worked in a variety of settings with many years of experience and great manual skills. Marwa is particularly interested in women’s health and completed her pelvic health physical therapy certification from Herman & Wallace Institute to perform evaluations and treatment interventions of the pelvis. she is familiar with cases such as Dyspareunia, chronic pelvic pain, pregnancy and post-partum rehabilitation, incontinence and OAB. Marwa looks forward to applying her experience to help clients achieve their personal goal of health and wellness.
